Avani Prasad

I participate in Orchestra, Model United Nations, Health Occupations Students of America, Robotics, Project LEAD, as well as the Troy Advisory Board, art, and piano outside of school. I also enjoy helping our community. This is thanks to my parents, who- since we were young- encouraged me and my sister to spend our free time volunteering at food banks, send our birthday money to charities, and raise funds for causes of our choice through lemonade stands. Usually, during the summer, my sister and I go to a local park to sell lemonade or paint nails to raise money or I would try to go to our local bookstore to volunteer. Of course, this is not possible with the pandemic however through projects like these I am finding a way to give back to our amazing community.
