My main love for the Hey [You]! project, though, is in crafting the cards and notes. I love art - mostly sketching, occasionally painting, but lately lots of oil pastels - and over quarantine, I’ve been able to dedicate a lot more time to this hobby, which has definitely helped me through these countless weeks. With this project, I’ve been able to use the art that gives me so much joy to help other people, hopefully brightening their days with the odd picture and happy note. 

Although it’s been nice lately to have extra time to spend doing the things I love, this pandemic has obviously not been an anxiety-free time. The future is full of uncertainties, but focusing on the small things and people has helped me out a lot. Group video calls with friends, random bursts of conversation in dormant group chats, or a new song discovery to listen to on end for hours have helped keep the days from blending together into a homogenous mess.
